Tistro is a smart productivity tracking tool that was built to address the needs of businesses to truly understand the productivity and behaviour within their organisation, automating time management, and the ability to optimise these critical business areas.

Tistro is an application that functions on a supervisor – agent premise in so far as fulfilling the function of a time capturing utility. It monitors user activity and saves this activity to a database for effortless productivity analysis.

Tistro is installed on the user’s machine, boots up automatically and starts tracking immediately. If the user uses Microsoft Outlook as their default email client, then their appointments will also be noted by the system.

The client application (the logger) records the application and window name that is currently active. The keystrokes and mouse clicks are counted (not recorded) for a deeper level of productivity tracking. Fields included: Active application, active window, start time, end time, left clicks, right clicks, keystrokes, backspace and delete.

The string is encrypted to prevent it from being tampered with to retain integrity. Log files are moved to a ‘pending folder’ and then onto the server.

The same happens for the email appointments. A regulated check is performed. If new appointments are found, they are written to the holding file. Fields included: Subject, attendees, start, end, location and status (if it has been accepted by the user).

After installation on a user’s computer, no further action is required.

Data encryption

All Tistro data is encrypted at source using Private Public Key encryption (PPK) ensuring data security from source and throughout the system processes.

Employee empowerment and performance management

Tistro’s performance profiling allows line managers and HR departments to review user’s work performance and workloads on an ongoing basis to establish any behaviour anomalies that could affect productivity. This allows organisations to manage their employee’s wellbeing by identifying work life imbalances.

Near real-time user activity interpretation

Through merging a user’s work rate and what they are working on, Tistro can provide user productivity reporting in almost real-time.
